Sam and Ed got Wed, their wedding flowers

luxury bridal flowers, chalfont st giles

We first met Sam and Ed earlier in the year at our workshop in Chalfont St Giles, we discussed the theme and overall style of flowers that they wanted to create for the day and decided on an all white wedding with the tiniest touch of coral peach. The White Ohara roses were the perfect flower. Described best as a peony rose with its blousy petals, subtle pale peach centre and most delicious fragrance. We focused the flower theme around these.

Sam knew exactly the style of wedding bouquet she wanted and that was a long trailing shower design. We are starting to see the return of this style and it looks stunning on the taller bride. Not the easiest of designs to make as every flower is individually wired to create the shower/tear drop shape. You will have to spend a bit more money for this style as some can take up to 2 hours to make but I think you’ll agree the overall look is effortless beautiful.

The Bridesmaids had small hand tied bouquets with a slight trail to the front each had foliage and the flowers to match the brides bouquet. Sam and Ed had three flower girls who held small posies of white Gypsophila and all Gypsophila crowns.

Sam and Ed got married in the quaint village Church of Chalfont St Giles in Buckinghamshire and had a Marquee reception at Ed’s family farm which is also in the village.  Sam wanted the wow factor for her guests when they walked into the marquee and they sure got it with nearly 1 meter tall floral arrangements. We wanted to go above head height for ease of chatting across the table and the effect. We filled these with the beautiful white hydrangea, white roses, Lisianthus, Brovardia, Astrantia and Larksburg. A real summer combination with all white flowers!

Last but not least the cake! 5 tiers and loveliness made by the very talented Gemma of The Kitchen Mixer. We worked together to decorate with fresh flowers. A quick change of design due to the very hot weather we decided on a diagonal sweep of flowers and foliage to give a rustic romantic look.
We also met the very talented duo Suzy and Alex of Suzy Wimbourne Photography who took the most breathtaking photos and who we must also credit all the photos in this post too.
Such a lovely wedding we had the privilege to work on.
