Kelly & Dan 3rd August 2018
Ufton Court, Reading
The 3rd of August started very early for us at Holly & Ivy HQ preparing for Kelly and Dan’s big day. First and most importantly we loaded the van and headed off to deliver Kelly’s Bridal flowers ready for the early ceremony. We then travelled down the M4 and into the Berkshire Countryside.
Kelly and Dan said their I dos at Ealing Abbey in London then came out for the reception party to the beautiful Ufton Court in Reading. The focal point for the day was roses! Kelly also loved peonies but with the crazy hot weather we had the peony season was cut short.
To replace them we used a rose called white o’hara that blooms like a peony and has the most wonderful scent. She also had a touch of white double Lisianthus and Eucalyptus arranged in quite a compact modern hand tied bouquet.
For the Bridesmaids blooms we used the same white o’hara roses but made theirs a bit more of a loose design with White Gypsophila. The Gypsophila carried on as a theme throughout the rest of the wedding from hair flowers to the flower arch.
At Ufton Court the main event was taking place in the most amazing barn with ceilings full with twinkling lights and surround by the most amazing walled garden. For the table flowers we created half and half low down posy style arrangements and very tall displays on lovely gold candle stands.
We hung gypsophila balls from low beams into the entrance with a gorgeous half flower arch framing the room and giving the guest the wow factor as they arrived into the venue.
The 4 tier naked cake was made by The Dandelion Bakery and decorated with flowers to match the wedding.
Photos of the couple in the Abbey was taken by Fulton Photography.
So much detail and thought went into the day even down to the place settings having a few sprigs of dried lavender which was in abundance out in the walled garden. A truly beautiful wedding from start to finish.
Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs xxx
