Holly & Ivy Flowers - Latest Summer Wedding
Our latest wedding here at Holly & Ivy flowers was in a beautiful setting which bordered Chalfont St Peter and Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. The theme was centrerd around hessian and lace with contrasting colour shades of blush pinks, ivories and navy blue. We took much of the inspiration for the flowers from the venue itself. Latimer Minster Church is based on Stampwell Farm, one of England's ancient farms. They have a lovely barn used for blessing ceremonies and of course the yellow and white circus tent.
Both venues are surrounded by Lavender bushes, Olive trees and lush green countryside which we used as our starting point. For the bridal bouquet we used a selection of blush pink and white avalanche roses, spray roses with white phlox and astrantia, it was finished with a hessian and lace handle. The bridesmaids simply had one avalanche rose surrounded by the most prettiest, white gypsohilia. The gents had delicate bunches of gypsophilia for their buttonholes - simple but effective.
In the circus tent itself we used over 150 jam jars and bottles in varying sizes. The bride had collected these herself, they were chalk painted and wrapped in hessian. We filled them with a mixture of seasonal summer flowers to match the wedding theme and had 5 on each bench style table.
The bow of each chair was also decorated with a small sprig of gypsophilia in pink and white - such a lovely added touch. All this went with the setting perfectly and made such an impact as you walked in - flowers everywhere!
Inside the barn we placed flowers into small vases which were hanging on alternate chairs down the aisle, along with lots of jam jars scattered around the room.
Such an unusual wedding venue and definately our first Circus tent. We loved arranging the flowers fr such a beautiful wedding. Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs!
